How do I sign up for the free plan?

Simply sign up at trails.so/signup. You will be put on a 7-day trial of our paid features, but after it expires you will automatically be put on our free plan which allows for unlimited public guides.

Can I use Trails with external teams or customers?

Yes, you can use Trails to create guides for anyone outside of your team or organization. Common use cases include creating support guides for customers and embedding them into Zendesk. Or educators creating guides for students.

Can I adjust my plan as I go?

Yes, you can scale your plan up or down from within the app at any time. At the end of your billing cycle, we will calculate your usage based on the number of editors and private viewers that were allocated to your plan for that month.

What is your cancellation policy?

Cancel anytime! Your satisfaction is important to us, so if at anytime you'd like to cancel you can do so within our platform.

If you’re not satisfied for our product for any reason within the first 30 days, we’re happy to give you a full refund. We only request you let us know the reason why.

How does Trails compare to competitors like Scribe and Tango?

Unlike many competitors that limit the number of guides being created or users who can access them, Trails offers unlimited guides and users on our free plan.

In addition, we generate engaging, branded videos that accompany every guide, a feature unique to Trails.

Our paid plan includes many additional features that competitors include in their more expensive plans such as blurring of private information and screenshot annotation.

Trails’ biggest functionality gap is that we currently do not support recording non-web based processes like our competitors who have desktop applications. However, it is in our near term roadmap to support this.
