Trails' service is governed by this fair use policy.
In general, if your usage stays within what we consider reasonable, you should not encounter unexpected restrictions.
Our goal is to deliver maximum value for customers while keeping Trails sustainable and reliable for everyone.
If your usage begins to place a significant strain on our support or infrastructure, or if the costs attributable to your account materially exceed the price of your plan, we may contact you to discuss options. Those options may include moving to a custom plan, adjusting usage patterns, or other reasonable steps to reduce resource impact.
If we’re unable to find a workable path forward, we’ll provide at least 30 days for you to transition to a different solution.
We reserve the right to introduce and apply a credit-based usage policy across any and all plans in order to manage system resource utilization and maintain service reliability.
If implemented, credits may apply to certain resource-intensive features or usage patterns, and we may update how credits are allocated or consumed over time.
Outside of excessive usage, here are a few examples of behavior that would immediately fall outside the bounds of our definition of fair and reasonable:
* Inappropriate or abusive content in guides
* Programmatic creation of guides
* Excessive API or platform calls
* Creation of guides not meant to be used by a person
